Miguel is a Senior investment adviser at SJF.

 Very used to preparing and managing European projects, Miguel has more than 15 years of experience working with investment funds, start-ups, and equity capital. His role has included technical and financial evaluation and advising for investment funds, conception and implementation of industrial projects (proper and for third parties), and, what he loves: bridging and connecting people to generate value. In one sentence: “Transform science and technology in financial revenue is an art and a passion!”

His role includes procurement and evaluation of investment opportunities and personalized advising to individuals and families interested in the Portuguese residency and emigration programs. He also acts as a reviewer for some of the most prestigious scientific publications in the world. 

Due to his background, experience, and network, Miguel will be able to assist and advise in the choice of the most suitable investment, in the development of a business, or the presentation of the technical and scientific community in Portugal. From the business plan to the industrial licensing, scientific collaborations, or patent licensing mediation, Miguel will be glad to assist you and make your transition to Portugal more simple and pleasant.

Miguel is a chemical engineer, with a PhD in bioprocessing engineering and a post-doc in mechanical engineering. Besides his scientific career developed between Portugal, the Netherlands, and Brazil, in the last 12 years, Miguel was the CEO and founder of two tech companies that were recently sold.
